How to join

The basics

The Northowram Pumas Running Club are a non-profit club and all our fees go back into the well-being of our members.

Whether it be new equipment or the promotion of social events, you can be sure that the committee will always have our members interests at heart.

This is covered in our Pumas Constitution  which contains all the information about how the run the club and the guidelines that the committee stick to. Our welfare policy can be viewed here and provides further guidelines on how we protect our members and how we expect everyone to behave whilst members of the club.

Becoming a Puma

If you’d like to join Northowram Pumas it couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is complete a form with a few details and pay your membership fee.

Our membership runs from the start of April until the end of March. You can join at any time, just catch Simon, Andy or Neil on a Monday or Wednesday evening.

Try before you buy

You can come and run with us for up to four weeks before becoming a member.

These first 4 runs are free but at the end of the four weeks, the membership fees must be paid to continue running with the club.

This is a great way to get an introduction to the club and see what we do. Just come along on a Monday or Wednesday evening (for details of times and locations visit our training page) and we’ll set you up in the best group for you.

Membership fees

Our membership fees run from April to March every year and for £40 you’ll be a member of Northowram Pumas RC plus you’ll also become an affiliated athlete to English Athletics which entitles you to discounts on race entries.

Once you become a member you’ll get a monthly email with all the available discounts sent directly to your inbox.
