More About Club Nights

All of our club runs, Monday and Wednesday, start at 6:30pm – and there’s a group for everyone, no matter the ability.

Our Monday night sessions start at 6.45pm. And there are a variety of options available.

If you’re just starting your running journey, our 12G or 5K+ groups are ideal for you. All groups will be out for one hour, and there’ll be
opportunities for rests, particularly given our area has its share of hills!
But whatever groupyou join, you’ll be supported by our fantastic run
leaders – and of course, your fellow members!In winter, we run most on roads – though we do have a ‘night trails’ group, which head out off-road. But in the warmer, lighter months, there are
opportunities for all groups to go off-road and take in our
stunning local scenery. Don’t worry, the run leaders will notify you
on our members page if their group is going off-road!
And finally, there’s always the opportunity to progress. If you’re running well, our leaders will advise when they think it’s the right time to step up to the next group!

Other Training

We regularly host ‘alternative’ sessions on our club nights. Taken by a qualified and experienced leader, this could involve hill running, speed work and much more. Any member of any ability can take part, the groups will be catered for all.

We also offer membership to track, at Horsfall Stadium, for £20 per year. This will allow you to attend our Tuesday track nights, which are hosted by our club coach, Graham Robertshaw. Graham is a fully-qualified England Athletics coach and he’ll put you through your paces on the track and help improve your overall speed!

Again, these sessions are for all – we have members from all groups attending these every week, so why not give it a go!
