Where and when
Monday and Wednesday club runs
We meet every Monday and Wednesday at Northowram Community Sports & Activity club:
Our Monday night sessions start at 6.45pm. And there are a variety of options available.
At the moment we have a variety of options:
Varied Training Sessions – including things like hill training and track sessions. These sessions are aimed at all levels and abilities. Keep your eyes peeled on the Facebook page, as any change of venue (for example going to Spring Hall for track sessions) will be posted on there. These sessions are an excellent way to improve your overall levels of fitness and also improve your speed and endurance (don’t just take our word for it..read this and this!).
5 – 6 mile run – from the club and they’ll be doing around 5 to 6 miles. It doesn’t matter how fast you are, as long as you can manage the distance in about an hour you’ll have a great time in this group.
Beginners or back to running – for those people who are new, or just getting back into running, this group is here to encourage and support anyone who is just starting out or getting back into running
We aim to leave the club at 6.30pm. And we’ll be out running for about an hour (group 5 are normally a bit less than this at around 30 minutes)
At the moment we have several different groups on a Wednesday evening, covering a variety of different distances:
- 6.5 miles with limited stops
- 5.5 miles
- 4.5 miles
- 3 to 3.5 miles
- An off road group that will cover between 4-5 miles (if you’d like to run in this group we’d recommended trail/fell shoes and (when it’s dark) you must have a head torch))
